Dracula

Aurora Fox Arts Center
9900 E. Colfax Avenue Aurora

The spine-tingling story of an immortal bloodsucking creature of the night continues to be re-"vamped," as the Victorian novel that started it all, Bram Stoker's Dracula, comes to the Aurora Fox Art Center in musical form. This dramatic staging moves from England to Transylvania and back as it focuses on Count Dracula's strange psychic connection with the young Mina, endangering her friend Lucy, and pitting him against the famed vampire hunter Van Helsing. The show premiered on Broadway in 2004, featuring a score by the Tony-nominated Frank Wildhorn (The Scarlet Pimpernel, Bonnie & Clyde) and lyrics and book co-written by Don Black (several James Bond film theme songs, Aspects of Love, Mrs. Henderson Presents) and Oscar-winner Christopher Hampton (Dangerous Liaisons).
