A Mormon missionary, a mad scientist, a pizza delivery guy, an Army Colonel and a robot made in her own likeness help an adopted Asian-American girl trace her heritage in the techno-comedy The Intelligent Design of Jenny Chow. An Obie Award-winning play penned by Rolin Jones (Friday Night Lights, Weeds), Chow also nabbed a spot as a 2006 Pulitzer finalist. At times funny, lighthearted, irreverent and poignant, this production at the Vintage Theatre in Aurora deftly explores the nature of family and what it means to be human in a technology-obsessed world.
