Based on the Alfred Hitchcock film of the same name, Patrick Hamilton's Rope brings thrills to the stage at John Hand Theater. Obsessed with proving their intellectual superiority by committing the perfect crime, two young college students decide to murder a fellow classmate. After placing his body in an antique chest, they host a party to celebrate getting away with murder, and cheekily serve dinner from atop the chest containing the dead man! But one of the two men becomes too self-assured, putting their crime at risk of being discovered.
