The famed story of the princess and the pea comes to life in this rollicking student production, in which Winnifred is just an ordinary, high-spirited girl who wants to escape her childhood home: a swamp. Driven by true love, she swims the castle moat to be with the young Prince Dauntless the Drab, her knight in shining armor. However, before they can marry, his overprotective mother concocts a secret test that the young princess must pass before she'll allow them to wed. Of course, it's hard to prepare when sleep is in such short supply, even on a stack of 20 mattresses. Hitch a ride on this song-filled road to happily-ever-after at the Jesters Dinner Theatre in Longmont.
